I am the Gladdys E. Muir Assistant Professor of Peace Studies at Manchester University. I was awarded my Ph. D. in Political Science from Kent State University (2019), and my M. A. in Conflict Resolution from Georgetown University (2011).
With a peace studies and conflict resolution background, my research focus is on immigrant and refugee rights and community-based conflict resolution. Part of my applied research on refugee life is highlighted here. My other publications engage important subjects like conflict and peace education, strategic nonviolent resistance, and human trafficking. My past professional experiences include work with North Hill Community Development Corporation, International Institute of Akron (IIA) and UNHCR-Nepal.
I grew up in in Kathmandu (Nepal) but currently live and work in Indiana.
